Students frequently call us asking if they can get credit for a Care Courses CourseBook that was already used by another student. We understand that times are tight and that everyone wants to get training at the lowest possible cost. Because of this, we work to keep our course pricing as low as possible for every student, and every student pays the same per course. Here’s a little more information about how it works.
What You’re Paying is Tuition
When you purchase one of our CourseBooks, you’re paying tuition to take the course and each student who wishes to receive a certificate must pay the tuition fee. While you certainly can read the course content from someone else’s CourseBook, to receive a certificate each student pays tuition for the course.
CourseBooks with Textbooks
Ten of our courses are based on textbooks. This means that your CourseBook will serve as a guide for what to study in the textbook, as well as provide the quizzes and some additional course content. For these courses, the textbook may be shared and used by other students. Each student will pay their tuition fee by purchasing the related CourseBook so they can receive a certificate for the course.
Here’s an example:
The CourseBook, Child Care Administration, is based on the textbook, The Human Side of Child Care Administration. Purchasing the CourseBook will pay the tuition for the course, and if you know someone who owns the textbook, then you can borrow that textbook to use with your CourseBook. You can purchase your textbook separately from a different retailer or even find the textbook at a local library. Also, we offer The Human Side of Child Care Administration bundled with the CourseBook for only an additional $10.00.
To make a long story short, every student needs to pay tuition for their course by purchasing a CourseBook (or an Online Course).
