Greet­ings, Mass­a­chu­setts child­care providers! Are you look­ing for child care train­ing in Mass­a­chu­setts? Do you need diverse learn­er train­ing or QRIS require­ments? The Mass­a­chu­setts Depart­ment of Ear­ly Edu­ca­tion and Care (DEEC) accepts all Care Cours­es towards year­ly pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment activ­i­ty requirements. 

In addi­tion, any Care Cours­es that grant 5 clock hours or more may be used to meet QRIS requirements!

Getting a CDA in Massachusetts

If pur­su­ing a Nation­al CDA Cre­den­tial is a goal of yours, check out our CDA-101 Tuto­r­i­al that explains all the ins and outs of the CDA process. Or, if it is time to renew your CDA, check out our con­ve­nient train­ing bun­dles. Hav­ing a CDA (plus addi­tion­al col­lege cred­its and expe­ri­ence) qual­i­fies you to work as a Direc­tor I or Direc­tor II in a child­care cen­ter and as a lead teacher for infants and tod­dlers or preschool­ers in a child­care cen­ter. Hav­ing a CDA in MA also qual­i­fies you to work as a teacher in a child­care center.

But wait, there’s more! For those of you need­ing to sat­is­fy your Diverse Learn­er Require­ment, Care Cours­es has you cov­ered. Diverse learn­ers can be defined as, “chil­dren who have spe­cial phys­i­cal, emo­tion­al, behav­ioral, cog­ni­tive or lin­guis­tic needs or whose pri­ma­ry learn­ing modal­i­ty is visu­al, audi­to­ry, tac­tile or kines­thet­ic, and who may require an adap­ta­tion in the envi­ron­ment, inter­ac­tion or cur­ricu­lum in order to suc­ceed in their program.”
